Pictured
above is the latest addition to our stable, a two-year old colt
by Forest Camp out of Ms. Versatality. There are several
factors that lead us to believe he is our best racing
prospect so far.
First and
foremost the individual.
As this picture shows he is a very
substantial colt that has not completely matured into
himself yet. He
is a particularly strong and well balanced colt with great
shoulder and hip angles.
What we like the most though is the athleticism we
see in his walk, which, combined with the rest of the
package, equals big time potential.
Secondly,
breeding. In
this game a young horse’s future success at the track is
some times best predicted by his family’s past success.
His father, Forest Camp, had blazing two-year old
speed and won the Del Mar Futurity (G2) in just his second
start. He earned a 106 Beyer defeating three eventual
G1 winners (Dixie Union, Captain Steve, Commendable) in the
process. With
current runners including Timber Reserve (winner of the G2
Pennsylvania Derby), New York City Girl (2YOF winner of
the Colleen Stakes at Monmouth), and The Pharaoh
(two-times stakes placed in 2007), Forest Camp has
established himself as a sire of top class race horses.
His mother,
Ms Versatality, was a stakes winner of 4 races and is the
dam of Officer In Pursuit (f. by Officer).
Officer in Pursuit is a very exciting and talented
filly that has won both the National Treasure and Nany
Stakes in
New York
this year. In
addition, she was 4th beaten just 4 lengths in
the Comely-G 2 and has earnings in excess of $140,000.
Hopefully our guy can live up the high standard set
by his big sister.
Twenty shares at $2,500 each, are
