Dixie's Hope broke her maiden with a 9-length win at Presque Isle Downs on Friday evening.  In her most complete effort to date, Dixie's Hope broke alertly from the 7th position and settled in 3.5 lengths behind the leaders in 4th place after the first quarter.  She moved into 3rd place but failed to gain any ground on pace setter Silver Clan at the 1/2-mile mark.  She began her move heading into the far turn and led by 8 lengths going into the top of the stretch.  Ocean Thunder was up for 2nd and Ditch the Ace finished third.  Going off as the 1/5 favorite, Dixie's Hope paid $2.60, $2.10, $2.10.  Ocean Thunder paid $4.60 and $2.80.  Ditch the Act paid $3.40.  Pocket Aces Racing will donate $210 to Our Mims Broodmare Retirement Haven barn rennovation as part of its continued effort to give back to racing.
