The Daily Racing Form's Byron King included Pure Victory on his "Horses to Watch" list in the July 2, DRF Weekend Edition following her debut at Churchill Downs on June 26.  King had this to say about Pure Victory ...

"Debuting in a maiden $30,000 race for 3YO fillies, she reallied wide to reach contention, only to flatten out in the lane.  It was a good performance from a filly that had never started and who had been training at High Pointe Training Center prior to her first start.  It is difficult for a horse to ship in and run well in its first race, and yet this filly did it."
