Mirador made her racing debut in a maiden claiming event at Turfway Park on Saturday afternoon.  She faced a great deal of adversity in her first outing including cold, snowy weather, breaking from the 1-hole, and traffic problems within the first furlong of the race.

Apprentice jockey Cory Orm got Mirador out of the gate in good order, but a horse to her outside ducked in early in the back stretch causing her to check hard.  According to Orm, the race was pretty much over for her at that point and his priority at that point was to bring her around the track in good order.
