Marc Wampler Racing and Bloodstock Manager

Marc Wampler has been involved in the thoroughbred racing and breeding industries since 1993. At various points in his career he has worked as a hot-walker, groom, sales show person, veterinary assistant, bloodstock agent and Racing Manager. All of which, have provided invaluable experience for his present positions as the Racing Manager for Pocket Aces Racing, LLC along with his duties as the General Manager for Somewhere Stables Kentucky, LLC.

From 1993 to 1996 Marc worked as a groom in the yearling and broodmare divisions of the prestigious Lane’s End Farm and as a hot walker and groom for the famed Calumet Racing Stable.

From 1996 to 2000 Marc was employed by Equine Analysis Systems, Inc. where he was charged with inspecting and evaluating young racehorses, for potential private purchase, at dozens of race tracks across the United States – from Golden Gate Park (San Francisco) to Gulfstream Park (Miami) and many race tracks in between (31 to be exact). In this capacity, Marc played an integral part in the private purchase of numerous Graded Stakes winners and millionaires. Marc also preformed various other bloodstock services for the company’s clientele based in Dubai, Germany, France, England and Ireland. This experience provided an excellent opportunity to evaluate some of the best breeding stock, racing prospects and racehorses in the World.

In 2000, Marc formed Classic Thoroughbreds International, Inc., a full-service bloodstock agency whose focus is client representation and consultation in a wide range of thoroughbred markets. As a judge of young racing prospects Marc has selected multiple Grade 1 winner Diamondrella as well as Graded Stakes winners Artemus Sunrise, Tiberius Caesar and Stakes winners Chan Chan and Three in the Bag for his clients. As a commercial and racing Breeding Consultant Marc’s company has assisted clients with the breeding of nearly 15 6-figure sales horses (all from small broodmare bands and low to mid-level stud fees) along with Grade 2 winners My Wandy’s Girl (winner of the 2014 Barbara Fritchie H.-G 2) and Most Distinguished (winner of the 2007 Amsterdam S.-G 2).

As Racing Manager for Pocket Aces Racing, LLC he is primarily responsible for horse selection, sales representation, selection of horse related personnel and race management.
