Aces High won the 7th at Evangeline Downsbymore than 6lengths this evening. He got out of the gate well and was in good stalking position through the first turn. He engaged the 50/1 shot, Idol Cat,about half waydown the back stretch and pulled ahead into the turn. It appeared that eventual runner up, Lucky Player, was going to make a run at him, but Aces High accelerated through the stretch and pulled away to an easy win.
Aces High earned $14,400 for the win. He paid $4.00, $2.80 and $2.80 going off as the even money favorite.
