Pocket Aces Racing is excited to announce the addition of a yearling colt by Empire Maker to its racing stable. The colt was purchased at the 2011 Keeneland Yearling Sale on September 17. We worked the sale very hard, inspecting hundreds of horses, and could not be more pleased with our newest addition.
Our goal was to purchase a colt to go two turns on the dirt, and we feel like we got just that with a son of Empire Maker out of a Seeking the Gold mare. We also liked the fact that he is a full brother to Heart Butte, a stakes winner at Aqueduct this year. Physically, he’s an awesome specimen with plenty of size, scope, and strength.
He will get a few weeks of rest and relaxation before beginning breaking and initial training at Shawhan Place Farm in Paris, Kentucky. We couldn’t be more excited about his future prospects.
