Aces High 2nd In The Slop At Thistledown

Aces High finished 2nd in the slop in an allowance at Thistledown on Saturday afternoon. He stalked the relatively slow pace and appeared to be in good position heading for home. However, the winner found another gear and pulled away down the stretch.

Steve spoke with Feliciano following the race and he shared that Aces High got over the track just fine. He felt there was simply no catching the winner yesterday. The slop didn’t hinder Aces High nearly as much as it helped out the winner. While Sr. Quisqueyano hadn’t exactly been tearing it up lately, he basically found the fountain of youth in the slop yesterday. For his career, he is now 5-for-8 on an off track and has won more than $760,000 during the course of his stakes winning career.
