Holiday Kiss finished 4th in her second start after a rather disappointing debut in December. The race, originally scheduled for 1 mile on the turf, came off due to heavy rains on Thursday. The distance stretched out to 1 mile and 70 yards. Holiday Kiss broke well from the 1st post and settled in nicely in 3rd position through the first turn. She ran in 4th position through the back stretch and it appeared that she may be out of the race going into the far turn as she had slipped back to 6th place. She found another gear and made a move in the stretch missing third place by a head. There was no catching the winner, Excessiveness, who pulled away to win by more than eight lengths. Mary Magdalene finished 2nd, five lengths ahead of Tulita. Iram Diego had was in the irons.
