Our fourth purchase out of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale was Hip 2616, a gorgeous filly by Jackie’s Warrior out of Dynapower by Munnings. We picked her up in the eighth session for $50,000.
Jackie’s Warrior is a champion sprinter by Maclean’s Music. He won an astounding eleven graded stakes on the way to a career record of 12-2-2 and earnings of $2,959,164 from 18 starts. He won the GII Champagne, the GI Hopeful and the GII Saratoga Special at age two. He won the GI Allen Jerkens, GII Pat Day Mile, GII Gallant Bob and GII Amsterdam at three. He won the GI Churchill Downs, the GI Alfred G Vanderbilt, GII True North and GII Count Fleet Sprint at four. He is the first horse in history to win a GI Stake at Saratoga in three consecutive years.
His stallion career is off to a good start as he is the #3 first crop sire of 2026. He has had 11 winners from 50 runners including stakes winner Wood Island. He sits behind Golden Pal and Life Is Good and in front of Olympiad, Epicenter, Earling Voting and Flightline.
Dynapower is a winning daughter of Munnings. She is out of the same female family as graded stakes winners Salt Champ and Champ Pegasus. Munnings is an extremely versatile sire. Despite relatively small number of foals, his mares have produced twelve stakes winners.
The filly has plenty of size, especially for a first foal. She is also a scopey filly with the type of strength you’d like to see in a quick and early horse. She has excellent confirmation through her knees and ankles and tracks very well through all four limbs which are attributes that will help her hold up to training. This filly has elements of turf in her family, however, based on her physical, we believe her sire’s speed and precocity are the traits that have been passed on to her.
As of October 31, 2026, SHARES ARE AVAILABLE!!!
