Pocket Aces Racing Developing Three Partnerships For 2015 Yearling Sales

The annual acquisition of young racing prospects is always one of the most exciting times of year for our stable, and the 2015 Yearling Sales are just around the corner. At this time, we are planning on three distinct partnerships for the 2015 Fall Yearling Sales. High End: For this partnership, we have budgeted up to $160,000 for the purchase of bloodstock. We plan to purchase a colt that has the pedigree and physical make up that would suggest the ability to run two turns on the dirt. This horses will likelybe basedat Churchill Downs. It is our hope that thiscolt will be able tocompete at the highest level of racing.Thispartnershipwill mark the most significant investment we have made in racing stock and we are extremely excited about the opportunity. Over theyears, we have been out bid on suchhorses are GeneralARod, Normandy Invasion and 2015 Stephen Foster Handicap winner, Noble Bird, to name just a few. We feeltheincreased budget for bloodstock will allowus to get this type of horse that we have previously missed.

There area total of10 shares in the partnership. Each share represents 9.9% ownership. A full share costs $20,000. Half shares are available for $10,000.Quarter shares are $5,500. Mid-Level Partnership: We have budgeted $50,000 for bloodstock in this partnership. While we will likely focus on a colt, we do not want to eliminate the possibility of purchasing a filly. The horse willmost likely be based at Churchill Downs. We have had a great deal of success with horses in this price range including stakes winner, Kaminari, and Aces High, a winner of more than $110,000 and still running.

There are a total of 10 shares in this partnership. Each share represents 9.9% ownership and costs $7,000. Half shares will be available for $3,600 and quarter shares for $1,850. Extreme Value Partnership: We have budgeted $15,000 for bloodstock and we will simply find the best horse available at that price. This horse will likely go to Susan Anderson at Turfway Park/Belterra Park or be based at Churchill Downs. We will make that determination once it completes its initial training and is ready to leave the training center for the race track. We have had some very nice horses at this level as well. Our very first horse, Victory Morning, was purchased for $13,000 and went on to earn more than $54,000. Pure Victory was another$13,000 purchase and won more than $70,000 and an allowance race at Keeneland.

Ten shares are available and each share represents 9.9% ownership and costs $3,000. Half shares are available for $1,600 and quarter shares are $850.
We are extremely excited about all of these new racing partnerships and are pleased that we can provide offerings to fit nearly any budget.
